Dress for Success Wellington is a registered not-for-profit organisation that supports women in their goal to become employed by providing them with work appropriate clothing for no cost and on a more intangible level giving women confidence in themselves to succeed with this ambition and other goals they have in their life.  We want to help set women on a path to self-sufficiency by offering them a "hand up not a hand out".

We have a team of volunteers who help our clients find a suitable outfit that is interview and work appropriate, a selection of garments that is comfortable, appropriate for their particular job market and makes them feel confident.

Our service is focused on helping women, the criteria is that clients must be actively seeking employment.

Clients who meet the criteria are able to access our service to obtain a first outfit for their first interview. When they get their job, they are able to make another appointment to pick a second outfit to begin their working life. 

We also take clients in for a number of other reasons or stages as they work towards employment, we like to help so please call us to discuss your situation.

We require a referring agency to complete a client referral form, and fax this to our office before a client can make an appointment with us.  In order for us to have staff available and to ensure we have clothing stock available, clients must make an appointment. We discourage "walk ins".

Dress for Success provides the outfits to women free of charge, and they do not have to return the items to us at a later date - they are theirs to keep.

We need your time, enthusiam and expertise!

Dress for Success Wellington is very much a volunteer-driven organisation, heavily dependent on the support of our community and volunteers to deliver our services.

Without volunteers, we simply would not be able to fulfil our mission.

We are currently looking for new volunteers to join our team to help deliver our service to those who need us. 

Come join our team we could use your help:

-  for client dressings
-  to sort our many clothing donations
-  iron or press our clothing
-  to help at our fundraising events eg sell raffle tickets

Or we could use your skills...

-  skills at presenting seminars or workshops

We are about six doors down from New World supermarket on the same side of the street heading south down towards Manners Street.
