Chore checklist

Do you find yourself feeling overwhelmed by your household chores?

Does it seem like you spend a whole day every weekend just cleaning?

Want more time to just relax?

The following is a comprehensive list of household chores that you may encounter in any given week.

  1. On your own work through the list below and identify how often the chore is performed in your household. Eg daily, weekly, spring clean etc.
  2. Then note if you like or dislike the chore – you may not enjoy doing the chores, but there are some you may favour more than others. Eg vacuuming over mowing the lawns or washing the dishes over cleaning the toilet etc.
  3. Next, note who is responsible for completing each chore in your household. Are you the primary owner or do you share the responsibility with others?
  4. Lastly, think about what the impact would be on your life if you did not complete each chore. Eg washing the dishes – run out of clean plates, paying the bills – power cut off etc.
